WEEK 1 and 2                         

TOPIC/SKILL: Traditional fabrics and dresses

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Identify traditional Nigerian dresses              

CONTENT:

Traditional dresses

i.              “Onyonyo”

ii.             “Buba and Iro”

iii.            “Sokoto”

iv.           “Yar-shara and hala”

v.            “Isiagu”

vi.           “Babbarigal Agbada”

TEACHER ACTIVITIES: Guides the pupils to IBT traditional dresses

STUDENTS ACTIVITIES: List traditional dresses

TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCE: Samples of traditional dresses

ASo – Oke Babbariga Buba and Iro Agbada Sokoto etc

EVALUATION GUIDE: Identify three traditional dresses

WEEK 3 and 4                         

TOPIC/SKILL: Traditional fabrics and dresses

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Mention the importance of traditional dresses to the nation   

CONTENT: Importance traditional dresses to the nation

TEACHER ACTIVITIES: Guides the pupils to list traditional dresses

STUDENTS ACTIVITIES: List tradition dresses

TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCE: Samples of traditional dresses

Aso-oke Babbariga Buba and Iro Sokoto

EVALUATION GUIDE: Mention two importance of tradition dresses

EVALUATION GUIDE: Draw any traditional dress of their choice

WEEK 7 and 8                         

TOPIC/SKILL: Traditional fashion accessories

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Pupils should be able to: State meaning of fashion accessories          

CONTENT: Meaning of fashion accessories

TEACHER ACTIVITIES: Explains the meaning of fashion accessories

STUDENTS ACTIVITIES: Listen and observe picture of fashion accessories

TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCE: Beaded jewelleries coral, combs etc.

EVALUATION GUIDE: Pupils to explain the meaning of fashion accessories

WEEK 9 and 10                       

TOPIC/SKILL: Traditional fashion accessories

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE:

1. Identify types of traditional accessories

2. Importance of traditional fashion accessories                                                      

CONTENT: Types of traditional fashion accessories

TEACHER ACTIVITIES:

1. Displays and explains different 

e.g. Beaded jewelleries, corals, combs walking sticker rattles for dances

2. Importance of traditional fashion accessories

STUDENTS ACTIVITIES: Listen and observe the display of  different types of traditional fashion accessories

TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCE: Beaded jewelleries,

coral, combs walking sticks crowns, shell jewellereis from traditional materials

EVALUATION GUIDE: Pupils to: Identify three traditional fashion accessories

WEEK 11 and 12: REVISION AND EXAMINATION
