GOD SAVES US FROM DANGER
God’s Deliverance of people from danger
God is always ever ready to protect us from all dangers and attacks from enemies. So we need the help of God to protect us from danger because he is the beginning and the end. So he will deliver us from all dangers and attacks.
Examples of God’s Deliverance
The following are stories of people God’s delivered.
- The story of Isaac – Genesis 22: 1 – 19
- The story of Daniel – Daniel 6
- The story of Shadrach, Meshack, Abediego – Daniel 3: 3 – 10
- The crossing of red sea. Exodus 14: 10 – 22
THE STORY OF ISAAC – GENESIS 22: 1 – 19
Isaac father wanted to sacrifice Isaac to God. Although it was a test from God to know if Abraham love God more than anything else. God stopped Abraham from killing his son by telling him to stop and showed him a ram which he use as the sacrifice. Isaac was save.
THE STORY OF DANIEL – DANIEL 6
God made Daniel successful and the king of Babylon made him a governor. He was a Jew who served the king of Babylon and he was very good in all that he did. People knew that Daniel Loves and serve the highest God and they were envious of his greatness. So they made king Darrius to sign a decree that no one should pray to any god for thirty days except to the king. Despite the degree Daniel opened his windows open and prayed three times daily. The governor came and saw Daniel praying. So they reported him to the king who sent people to arrest him.
The king loves Daniel but he had already sign the decree and it cannot be reserve it. Daniel was arrested and thrown into a lion’s den. But God shut the mouths of the lions and the lions were playing with Daniel.
The next day, early in the morning, the king went to check on the cave. And called his name and Daniel responded. So he sent people to bring out Daniel out of the den. The the king then ordered that all the people and their families who planned evil against Daniel was thrown into the den and the lion killed all of them. Daniel was delivered.
THE STORY OF SHADRACH, MESHACK, ABEDIEGO – DANIEL 3: 3 – 10
God saved Sheldrake, Meshach and Abedngo in the furnace of fire.
Shedrach, Meshach and Abedngo were three Hebrew boys taken to Babylon from Jerusalem as captives of war. They served God of Israel, feared and obeyed him.
When the king Nebuchadnezzar created a golden image, he gave an order that anytime thy hear the sound of the musical instrument that everyone should bow and worship the golden image and anyone that refuse to bow will be thrown in the furnace of fire.
When the musical instrument were sounded, Shedrach, Meshach and Abedngo, refuse to bow to the golden images because they know the commandment of God that we must not bow to any image. So they were arrested and taken to the king. When the king ask them if it is true that they refuse to bow to the image. They told king Nebuchanessar that God will deliver them and even if God refuse to deliver them they would not bow to any image. The king was angry and ordered that the furnace of fire be heated seven times before they were thrown into it. But while in the fire they were not hurt nor burnt because Jesus Christ came to their rescue and was with them in the fire. The king and every one there saw four men instead of three. The king then called them out and when he saw that they were not hurt the king worshipped the most high God and he promoted the three Hebrew boys in the province of Babylon.
THE CROSSING OF RED SEA. EXODUS 14: 10 – 22
When the children of Israel were moving out of Egypt with mosses s their leader to the promise land which God has promise them. in the wilderness after some days pharaoh changed his mind and wanted to bring them back; pharaoh sent horsemen to catchup with the Israelite and bring them back to Egypt .so the Israelite were very close to the red sea when they say the horsemen from Egypt coming towards them. They were afraid and mosses told them not to be afraid and that God would fight for them. God instructed Moses to lift up his rod and divide the sea. And the sea divided into two parts. And the children of Israel walked pass the red sea on a dry land. Pharaoh army followed them into the sea and while they were in the middle of the sea. God made the sea to close up on them and they all perished. So the lord delivered the people of Israel from pharaoh.
Prayers: deliver us from evil in Jesus name. Amen.
