THIRD TERM PRACTICAL LIFE ACTIVITY CURRICULUM
TERM THREE
Week 1 & 2
Topic: Ground rules: how to sit in the class.
Objective: At the end of the lesson pupil should be able to take the right positive in the classroom.
Lesson: 2 lesson
Materials: Pupil, the furniture in the class
Activity: Should include teacher taking the correct sitting positive while the pupils water
Evaluation: Teacher should evaluate the lesson practically.
Week 3 & 4
Topic: Pouring rice/beans from one jug to another jug
Objective: At the end of the lesson pupil should be able to pour gram like object such as beads, from one container to another as against picking it one by one.
Lesson: 2 lesson
Materials: Two jugs, beans, rice and tray
Activity: Activity should be as in week 9 & 10 of second term
Evaluation Evaluation should be practical.
Week 5 & 6
Topic: Handling of scissors
Objectives: At the end of the lesson pupil should be able to take the scissors and use it to cut a piece of paper to two.
Lesson: 2 lessons
Materials: Strip of paper, scissors
Activity: Teacher should carryout a demonstration and makes the pupils do the same
Evaluation: teacher should evaluate the lesson practically.
Week 7 & 8
Topic: Opening and closing locks
Objective: At the end f the lesson, pupil should be able to close a door and lock it, or unlock a door and open it.
Lesson: 2 lessons
Materials: The class door or the teacher’s drawer
Activity: Teacher should be a demo of locking and unlocking doors, the make the pupil do the same
Evaluation: Teacher should evaluate the lesson practically.
Week 9 & 10
Topic: folding material
Objective: At the end of the lesson pupil should be able to fold a given napkin or piece of cloth into a given number of equal parts.
Lesson: 2 lesson
Materials: 4-6 table napkins
Activity: Teacher should show the pupil how to fold the napkins and make the pupil do the same following the steps the teacher used.
N: B: Some will do it otherwise; teacher should patiently repeat the steps to carry the slow ones along.
Evaluation: Pupil should fold a napkin into a given number of equal part-e.g 4 parts
