MODULE CONTENT
What is division of labour? It is the breaking down of work or job to people into smaller unit to achieve a positive result. One person cannot perform all the duties that is needed for the production of goods.so there is need for division of labour for quicker production and efficiency.
WHAT AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY MEANS
Agricultural industry is a group of human activities involved in farming like fishing, production of cash and food crops, animal production, horticulture etc.
TYPES OF AGRICULTURE
- Crop production
- Animal production/ animal husbandry.
VARIOUS JOBS IN THE AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY
- Farming implement production. E.g. hoes, cutlasses, harvesters.
- Crop planters
- Crops harvesters
- Crop cultivators
- Land clearers
- Animal rearers
- Meat sellers
WHY DIVISION OF LABOUR IS NECESSARY IN AGRICULTURAL INDUSTRY
- Worker in the industry will produce more goods.
- More acres of land can be cleared for crop planting.
- More crops can be harvested
