WEEK 1 -5: PRAYER

Pupils should be able to:

  • Define Prayer
  • State why we should pray.

WEEK 5: How to Pray 

  • Without ceasing (1 thess 5:17)
  • In secret
  • Pray for the a specific thing
  • Pray with faith

  • Recite the lord’s prayer of prayer
  • State the importance

WEEK 6:  TYPES OF PRAYER

LESSON OBJECTIVES:

Pupils should be able to:

  • state the types of prayers
  • prayer of thanks giving (Acts 4: 23)
  • confession of sins (Luke 18: 19 -23)
  • petition (1 Samuel 1: 124 -19)
  • intercessory  prayer (Gen 18: 2 – 23)

WEEK 7: THINGS TO PRAY FOR (1 Kings 3: 1 -15; James (2:7))

.LESSON OBJECTIVES:

Pupils should be able to state:

  • make a list of things to pray for

e.g.

  • knowledge
  • wisdom and understanding (1 kings 3: 1 -15; James 2 -7)
  • Forgiveness of sins etc.

WEEK 8:  THE POWER OF PRAYER (1) Acts 12: 1 – 17, 16; 25 – 33)

    LESSON OBJECTIVES:

Pupils should be able to:

  • Narrate the story of how peter was release from prison.
  • Narrate the story of Paul and Silas in prison
    TEACHING/LEARNING RESOURCES/AIDS:
  • Picture of prison men bound by chain.

WEEK 9:  THE POWER OF PRAYER

  • Answer to Hannah ‘s prayer for a son (I Samuel 1: 9 – 20)
  • Raising of Lazarus from death (john 11: 41 – 44)

    LESSON OBJECTIVES:

Pupils should be able to:

  • Narrate the stories of answered prayers of  Hannah for a son and the prayer that raised Lazarus from dead

TEACHING/LEARNING RESOURCES/AIDS:

  • Holy bible

WEEK 10:   REVISION AND EXAMINATION
