                              CONTENT

     HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE HAIR

  1. Cut or plait your hair regularly
  2. Don’t play with sand.
  3. Always brush and comb your hair daily
  4. Wash your hair daily
  5. Make use of clean towels to dry your hair after bath.
  6. Brush your hair with care to avoid breakage of the hair.
  7. Make use of good shampoos and hair creams on your hair.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE HAIR

  1. Try to wash your face with warm water and mild soap twice daily.
  2. Protect your skin from sunlight.
  3. Bath twice daily
  4. Do not scrub your skin with hard sponge while bathing.
  5. Put on cloth that can prevent your skin from hotness of the sun.
  6. Use good body cream on your body to avoid dryness of the skin.
  7. Eat fruit and vegetable juice to replenish your skin.
  8. Bath with clean water.
  9. Prevent cuts on the skin
  10. Don’t play on sand, grass or stones to prevent injuries and infections.
  11. Use round cut cucumbers on your eyes to remove swellings and black spots under the eyes.
  12. Keep your hands clean.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE EYE

  1. Do not expose your eyes to dangerous chemicals.
  2. Avoid smoky environment to prevent cataracts.
  3. Reduce the intake of starchy food.
  4. Make use of protected glass when working in a construction site.
  5. Avoid reading in the dark places
  6. Avoid reading with candles or light that is not bright.
  7. Use sunglasses to prevent your eyes from harmful ultra violet rays of sunlight.
  8. Eat food that contains enough minerals and vitamins to enhance good eye sight.
  9. Use medicated glasses to correct eye problem.
  10. Go for regular eye  check up
  11. Avoid looking at the sun
  12. Avoid stressing your eyes.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE EAR

  1. Avoid loud music
  2. Don’t use sharp objects in your ears.
  3. Make use of cutting bud when cleaning your ears.
  4. Always go for ear checkup

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE NOSE

  1. Avoid inhaling of smokes and fumes that irritate the nose.
  2. Clean your nose with cotton wool and salty warm water to prevent nostrils damage.
  3. Do not use your finger to clean your nostril.
  4. Cover your nostril with handkerchief when sneezing to avoid spreading of diseases.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE TEETH AND MOUTH

  1. Brush your teeth twice daily.
  2. Visit your dentist at least once in six months and anytime you have problems with your teeth.
  3. Avoid the use of sharp objects like pin or needle to remove food particles between the teeth.
  4. Always use mouth wash to give you a good breath and to help strengthen your tooth enamel.
  5. Avoid opening bottle cock with your teeth.
  6. Reduce  eating sugary things like chocolate, biscuit and chewing gum
  7. Chewing more pineapples to breakdown debris in your mouth.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THE NAIL

  1. Cut your nails as soon as they start growing
  2. Wash your nails to prevent infections.
  3. Keep your finger nails dry and clean.
  4. Make use of hand lotion
  5. Avoid using your finger to pick things.
  6. Make use of rubber gloves when washing dishes or when soaking them in water for a long time.
  7. Do not bite your fingernails with your teeth.

IMPORTANCE OF TAKING CARE OF OUR BODY

  1. We will be free from sicknesses and diseases.
  2. It make our body parts to work well.

  • The Teacher revises the previous lesson (FOOTBALL).
  • The Teacher introduces the topic (SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAMME).
  • The Teacher explains the lessons.

LEARNERS ACTIVITIES

Teacher ask the learners to:
