WEEK 1: REVISION OF SECOND TERM’S WORK

At the end of the lesson, Pupils should be able to recall all what their teacher has taught them previously term.

WEEK 2: SOIL

  • Properties of soil

LESSON OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, Pupils should be able to

  1. Define soil
  2. List the types of soil
  3. Mention  the properties of soil

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

  • Real samples of soil

WEEK 3: AIR

  • Existence of air
  • Defining wind as air in motion.

LESSON OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, Pupils should be able to

  1. Define air
  2. Demonstrate by blowing paper fan on another person.
  3. Define wind as air in motion

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

  • Chart showing things that float in air (paper kites, down balloons)

WEEK 4: AIR FLOTATION

  • Things that float in the air
  • Effects of moving air in the body

LESSON OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, Pupils should be able to

  1. Observe and identify the things that float in air
  2. Make things float in air e.g. paper kite.
  3. Mention effects of moving air in the body

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

  • Chart showing kite balloon and blown balloon.

WEEK 5: AIR

  • Air as a means of transmission
  • Air borne diseases e.g. cough, measles etc.
  • How to prevent diseases

LESSON OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, Pupils should be able to

  1. Define transmission
  2. Mention diseases that can be transmitted by air
  3. Mention ways by which the diseases can be prevented

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

Chart showing a sick person with measles, cough, chicken pox, etc.

 WEEK 6: AIR II

  • Property of air
  • Uses of air

LESSON OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, Pupils should be able to

  • List out the properties of air
  • Mention the use of air

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

  • Chart showing clothe been spread on the line.
  • A chart showing human beings sitting under the tree receiving fresh air.

WEEK 7: WATER FLOATATION:

  • Identification of the things that float and sink in the water
  • Matching of objects that can sink and float band sink in the water.
  • Matching  of objects that can sink and float easily

LESSON OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, Pupils should be able to

  • Identify things that can float and sink in the water
  • Match objects that can sinks and float easily.

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

  • Chart showing objects that can sink and float e.g. objects that can sink stone clay.
  • Floating objects inflated balloon, feather.

WEEK 8: WATER FLOATATION II

  • Identification of the things that float and sink in the water
  • Matching of objects that can sink and  float

At the end of the lesson, Pupils should be able to

  • Identify things that can float and sink in the water
  • Match objects that can sinks and float easily.

WEEK 9:  CLAY

  • Uses of clay for moulding

  • Define clay soil
  • Mention or list the uses of clay soil for moulding

  • Chart showing mouled block houses built with clay soil.

WEEK 10:  THE SENSES

  • The sense of smell(nose)
  • Observation and identification of the organ of smell
  • Importance of the  organ of smell
  • Description of pleasant and unpleasant smell

LESSON OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the lesson, Pupils should be able to

  • Observe and identify the organ of smell
  • List the importance of the organ of smell
  • Describe  pleasant smell
  • Draw the organ of smell(nose)

INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS

  • Chart showing the organs smell (nose)

WEEK 11: REVISION

WEEK 12:  EXAMINATION
