                      MODULE CONTENT

A house is a place where we live in. it is a place that provides shelter and protects one from the sun, the rain. Etc.

TYPE OF HOUSES NIGERIANS LIVE IN

  1. Mud houses: it can be mud house with thatched roof or iron roofing sheet
  2. Wooden houses: built with timber
  3. Huts: they are small and can be built from thatch or bamboo.
  4. Duplexes: they are modern house with room and two floors, built with cement and corrugated iron roofing sheets.
  5. Flats: they are set of rooms usually on the floor of a building with two or more floors. It may be one, two or more bedroom flat.
  6. Penthouse: it is an apartment located on the top floors of a building.
  7. Skyscrapers: a building with many stories
  8. Bungalows: a small house with single story.

PROVISION AND ACQUISITION OF HOUSES

People acquire houses through:

  1. Savings and personal efforts.
  2. Through housing cooperation.
  3. Loan from commercial banks.
  4. Loan from mortgage banks.
  5. Government allocation.

PRESENTATION
