  5. Writing: Complete the following from the story that has just be read.

  1. Speech work: Further practice in the use of Tense, Present, past present, perfect and past
    Continuous tense.
  2. Structure: Aural discrimination
  3. Reading: A football match teaching of new words Meaning comprehension.
  4. Grammar: Further practice in the use of tense, Present, past present, perfect and past.
  5. Writing: Giving an account of visits to place of Interest e.g. local market, super market idanre Hills.
  6. Dictation: Spelling, Selected words from the
    Passage read.

                                  WEEK 4

  1. Speech work: Giving an account of visits to place of interest e.g. tourist attraction, hospital, and court of Law.
  2. Structure: Aural Discrimination /a: / and /ↄ:/.
  3. Reading: Teaching of new words, oral and Written comprehension
  4. Grammar: Punctuation mark.
  5. Writing: Composition a day I shall never forget.
  6. Dictation: Spellings, selected words. Words from the
    Passage read.

                                             WEEK 5

  1. Speech work: Aural Discrimination distinguish between the sound /a: /: in lark and the sound /Ↄ:/ In lock.
  2. Structure: Descriptive passage: My visit to Lagos University teaching hospital [I].
  3. Reading: Teaching of new words spellings [Comprehension]

  3. Reading Comprehension: Teaching of new words, oral and written comprehension
  4. Grammar: Care of people living with AIDS/HIV.
  5. Writing: Feature of informal letter
  6. Dictation: Selected words from the passage read.

                          WEEK 8

  1. Speech work: Aural Discrimination [Consonants] tin thin /t/ /ө/.
  2. Structure: Construct sentences with consonants.
  3. Reading : Teaching of new words – oral and written Comprehension
  4. Grammar: Make ten sentences from this table
  5. Writing: Filling in gaps with the words in the box.

                                         WEEK 11

  1. Speech work:  Pronunciation practice
  2. Structure: Construct sentences using Substitution tables
  3. Reading: Teaching of new words – Oral and Written comprehension
  4. Grammar: Passage on family as a unit
  5. Writing: Expository writing
  6. Dictation: Selected words from the Passage to read.
