WEEK 5 – 6: COMPONENT OF CIVIC EDUCATION

  • Democratic

  • State and explain the components of civic education.

WEEK 7: IMPORTANCE OF CIVIC EDUCATION TO NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Learning about systems and institution of government, democratic process etc.
  • Acquire skills such as active citizenship inquiry, cooperation etc.
  • Stimulation of civic engagement in the political social and economic processes.

LESSON OBJECTIVES:

Pupils should be able to:

  • State the importance of civic education.

WEEK 8: HONESTY

  • Meaning of honesty
  • The importance of telling the truth always.
  • Reward of honesty e.g. praise, gift, promotion etc.
  • Punishment of dishonesty e.g. shame, beating, disgrace, etc.

Pupils should be able to:

  • Define honesty
  • State the reward of honesty
  • State the punishment for dishonesty.

WEEK 9: COURTESY, POLITENESS AND ETIQUETTE

  • Meaning
  • Treating other people with courtesy and proper behaviour in the street, buses, trains and queues.

  • State their multi roles in the society as regards courtesy and politeness.
