WEEK 1: REVISION OF FIRST TERM’S WORK
WEEK 2 AND 3: SIMPLE MACHINE
- Meaning of simple machine (a device that makes work easy. E.g. broom, spoon, see –saw/swing, the cutlass) etc.

Pupils should be able to:
- Define simple machine
- List the example of simple machine

WEEK 6: SOIL, AIR AND WATER
- Other part of the surrounding. E.g. (soil, air, water).
TEACHERS’S ACTIVITIES:
Pupils should be able to:
- Define soil, air and water
- Identify things found in the soil
- List the importance of soil to the animals as habitat and food
TEACHING/LEARNING RESOURCES/AIDS
- Chart showing the product from the soil and building made with soil.
WEEK 7 AND 8: DEMONSTRATION THAT AIR EXIST AND CREATION OF AIR CURRENT
LESSON OBJECTIVES:
Pupils should be able to:
- Demonstrate that air exist
- To create air current by blowing with mouth or using paper fan.
- Demonstrate that air occupies space.

- Chart showing inflated balloon, a person blowing another with mouth or paper.
WEEK 9: WATER
- Meaning of water
- Sources of water
- Uses of water

Pupils should be able to state:
- Define the word water
- List the sources of water
- Mention the uses of water

Chart showing the samples of water, types a person, bathing, cooking and drinking water.
