WEEK 1 and 2
TOPIC/SKILL: Creating a drama stetch from a story or folktale
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Pupils should be able to:
1. Create a drama sketch from a story
CONTENT: Play creation through scripting or improvisation with any of the following team working patriotism unity.
TEACHER ACTIVITIES:
1.Explains the meaning of a play creating
2.Explains the process of play creating
3.Explains the concepts of scripting and improvisation
STUDENTS ACTIVITIES:
1.Listen to the explanation by the teacher
2.Participate in the play creating process
3.Watch a video of children’s play

EVALUATION GUIDE: Pupils to:
1. Create an improved play based on the story line of a given story with any of the stated themes.
WEEK 3
TOPIC/SKILL: Creating a drama stetch from a folktale
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE:Pupils should be able to create a drama from a folktale CONTENT: Play creation through improvisation with any of the following themes courtesy, dignity of labour etc.
TEACHER ACTIVITIES:
1.Leads pupil to start a play creating process
2.Plays a video of a play involving children as actors
STUDENTS ACTIVITIES:
1.Participate in the play creating process
2.Watch a video of children’s play
TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCE:

EVALUATION GUIDE: Pupils to create an improved play based on the folktale of a given story with any one of the stated themes
WEEK 4 – 5
TOPIC/SKILL: Staging
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Pupils should be able to identify staging requirement of a play or drama
CONTENT: Introduction to stating of a play.
TEACHER ACTIVITIES:
1. Explains the requirement of a play production.
STUDENTS ACTIVITIES:
1.Listen to teacher’s explanation
2.Identify requirement of a play production.

EVALUATION GUIDE: Pupils to identify four play staging requirement
WEEK 6 and 7
TOPIC/SKILL: Staging
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: State the different states of a play production process
CONTENT: 1. Stages of a play production
TEACHER ACTIVITIES: Discuss the processes involved in play production
STUDENTS ACTIVITIES:
1. Identify the processes of staging a play or drama

2.Mention the importance of traditional dresses to the nation.
CONTENT:
Traditional fabrics

v. Out-ogwu (white cloth)
TEACHER ACTIVITIES:Guides the pupils to list traditional fabrics

1.List traditional fabrics
