WEEK 1
TOPIC: Jesus The Way To The Father
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Pupils should be able to: explain that Jesus is the only Son of God.
CONTENT:
1.Jesus is the only way to God the father. Jn.14:1-7.
2.We are sinners and cannot save ourselves. Rom. 3:23.
TEACHER ACTIVITIES:
1.Discussion of Thomas with Jesus
2.Explains how they came to the father through Jesus Christ.
3.Teaches pupils that we have all sinned before God.
PUPILS ACTIVITIES:
1.Answer and ask questions.
2.Memorize Jn. 14:6

WEEK 2
TOPIC: To Be Born Again
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Pupils should be able to: explain why a person must be born again
CONTENT:
1.Born again: Jn. 3:1- 21.
2.The story of Nicodemus.
TEACHER ACTIVITIES:
1.Tells the story of Jesus and Nicodemus.
2.Lists the importance of being born again.
PUPILS ACTIVITIES: Listen and ask questions.

EVALUATION GUIDE: Pupils to find out: who told Nicodemus that he must be born
again.
WEEK 3
TOPIC: To Be Born Again (Baptism)
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Pupils should be able to:
1.explain how a person can be born again.
2.say ways that you can be born again.
CONTENT: Born again through baptism:
– through life in Christ
– through acceptance of Christ into one’s life
– baptism of Jesus
TEACHER ACTIVITIES: Tells the story of the baptism of Jesus showing pupils the pictures of those that gave their lives to Jesus Christ.
PUPILS ACTIVITIES: List the importance of being born again.
TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCE:
1.The Holy Bible and pictures of those born again.
2.Picture of a man been baptized.
EVALUATION GUIDE: Pupils to:
1. explain the need to be born again.
2. ways a person can be born again.
3. where was Jesus baptized.
WEEK 4
TOPIC: Jesus The True Good Shepherd
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Pupils should be able to: explain the meaning of good shepherd.
CONTENT:
1.Meaning of the good shepherd. Jn. 10:1-18.
2.The story of the lost sheep.
TEACHER ACTIVITIES: Tells the story of the lost sheep.
PUPILS ACTIVITIES: State evidence of Jesus as a good shepherd in the story from the bible.
TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCE: Picture of the shepherd leading his sheep.
EVALUATION GUIDE: Pupils to:
1.explain the meaning of a good shepherd.
2.what good did we learn from the story of the lost sheep.
WEEK 5
TOPIC: Jesus The True Good Shepherd
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Pupils should be able to enumerate the qualities of a good shepherd.
CONTENT: Qualities of a good shepherd:
– kindness
– loving
– caring
– protective
– generous
– forgiveness etc
TEACHER ACTIVITIES: Asks if the pupils have domestic animals and let them explain how they take care of them.
PUPILS ACTIVITIES: Ask questions; draw Jesus as a good shepherd.
TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCE: Picture of Jesus the good shepherd.
EVALUATION GUIDE: Pupils to: list three qualities of a good shepherd.
WEEK 6
TOPIC: Jesus The Good Shepherd
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Pupils should be able to:
1.show how Jesus demonstrated these qualities.
2.give instances of Jesus showing goodness to people.
CONTENT: Jesus shows goodness to people
1.Story of Jesus turning water to wine. Jn. 2:1-11.
2.Healing the man in the pool of Bethesda. Jn. 6:1-9.
3.Healing the blind. Matt. 20:30.
TEACHER ACTIVITIES: States evidence of Jesus goodness e.g. healing at the pool of Bethesda. John 5:1-9.
PUPILS ACTIVITIES:
a.Give the names of some good people.
b.Explain why they are good.

1.say why or how Jesus showed His goodness to people.
2.Mention ways of helping various people in need at home, school or in the community.

TOPIC: Jesus the Bread of Life
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Pupils should be able to:
1.give the scripture meaning of bread of life
2.explain what Jesus meant by referring to himself as “Bread of life”.
CONTENT:
1.Meaning of the “Bread of Life” Jn. 6:35.
2.Illustrate why we eat the physical bread e.g. strength, nourishment to be alive etc.
TEACHER ACTIVITIES:
1.Explains the term “Bread of life”.
2.Discusses Jesus declaration of himself as the bread of life.
PUPILS ACTIVITIES:
1.Explain the term “Bread of life”.
2.Differentiate between the bread of life and the bread we eat daily.

EVALUATION GUIDE: Pupils to:

TOPIC: Jesus the Bread of Life
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Pupils should be able to:
1.explain Jesus as the bread of life. Jn. 6:51
2.identify why Jesus is the bread of life
CONTENT: Reasons why Jesus is the bread of life. Jn. 6:5.
TEACHER ACTIVITIES: Leads the class to identify the significance of Jesus as the bread of life.
PUPILS ACTIVITIES: Pupils to:
1.Answer and ask questions.
2.Participate in discussing Jesus as the bread of life.
TEACHING AND LEARNING RESOURCE:
1.Sample of a real bread.
2.Pictures showing a preacher preaching the word of God.
EVALUATION GUIDE: Pupils to: point out two (2) different between the bread of life and the physical bread.

TOPIC: Jesus the Bread of Life

TOPIC: (Jesus) The Word Of God
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVE: Pupils should be able to: use the word of God when in temptation.
CONTENT: The temptation of Jesus Matt. 4:5-11.
TEACHER ACTIVITIES:
Tells the story of Jesus temptation.
2. Discuss Jesus declaration in Matt. 4:5- 11.
PUPILS ACTIVITIES: Ask and answer questions.
